My Woodshed...

Under construction...no-no not the woodshed! - this webpage!

I built this in the Fall of 2007 - The materials were primarily the leftovers from building my carport - It was my first ever attempt
to build on a bigger scale, and I obviously made the openings too wide compared to the bearing beam...I'm gonna correct that,
using a pole and the jack from my car, slowly lifting it back up from the (tiny!) drop, and support it all with 2 more pillars...
The siding wood was given to me by my neighbor, and hadn't he hinted me on this type of 'rafts' being wider in one end than in
the other, I would have fallen into the trap of having the thickest end in the bottom...no-no! - One thick up - one down - one up....
I'm happy with my woodshed because it's roomy and serves it's purpose well...it also gives my house some shelter from the dominating
western winds...and it doesn't look too bad either - it measures app. 7 meters wide, 1.8 meters deep and 2.20 meters height....
:-)

Ready for the roof on left photo...Roof laid on right photo...

Siding is put up...
Painting it have to wait...

Well, now it's painted...the building in
the left half of the photo is my carport,
and the lower in it's prolongation, is my
woodshed...

Here's where the firewood was stored when I bought the house...
That's one of the crappier building attempts I've seen...and even
used for dumping old cardboard boxes, washing machines etc...

Firewood looks sort of decorative when
nicely piled....
